Mathematical Economics

The purpose of this course is to introduce some basic and advanced mathematical methods (solution techniques) for the application of Economics. These mathematical topics are divided into four main subjects.

  1. Review of Calculus,
  2. linear algebra (matrix algebra) and optimization of Functions of n-variables, also constrained optimization, Kuhn-Tuhn-Tucker conditions,
  3. the application of Economics on mathematics.
  4. the introduction to Mathematics for Economic Dynamics.
