Environmental Economics
Environmental economics focuses on problems of efficient caused by externality which generates too much pollutions and too little environmental protection efforts or conservation. This course will first start from the definition of sustainability. Secondly, discusses the methods of environmental evaluation (non-market valuation method) and property rights. Finally, introduces issues about local air pollution, regional and global air pollution – acid rain and climate change, mobile-source air pollution, water pollution and toxic substances and waste management, respectively.
