Urban Economics

The Urban Economics, referring to the disciplines of Economics and Geography, discusses the spatial distribution of human activities and land use embodied on the theories of consumerˇ¦s utility maximization and producerˇ¦s profit maximization. In this course, we explain why city existing, why different city size, why land being priced, and why price being different. Class discussion will also cover topics such as how does the transportation changes the urban land distribution, and how people move to achieve equilibrium, and so on.
